WELCOME TO ‘RUNNING ON RABBIT FOOD’!
I’m Becca, and I’m so glad you stumbled upon my blog! Since beginning my vegan journey just over a year ago, I turned to my fellow vegan bloggers for help and inspiration. I hope that my love of food and the vegan lifestyle shines through in my posts, and as a result, I hope this blog will become your inspiration to become a healthier, happier version of yourself.
The world is becoming much more vegan-curious, especially among the health conscious; what exactly do we eat, why we eat certain foods and why we don’t eat others, even as far as what ingredients we use and don’t use for beauty products and clothing. I hope to offer some insight on these issues and answer any questions you may have.
Everyone goes vegan for a different reason. What’s yours? To get a better idea of why I have chosen this lifestyle, you can read about my journey in the ‘MEET BEC’ tab. My posts and food journaling will give you an idea of how I cope in a not-so vegan-friendly world and how to go about dealing with things like social situations, dinner parties and staying healthy on a busy schedule. It’s true that eating healthy requires extra planning and more energy, but it doesn’t have to be difficult, and can lead you to the best type freedom you could ask for; your health!
My goal is that ‘Running On Rabbit Food’ will inspire others to live the healthiest life possible, and have tons of fun while doing it! This blog is a journey to healthy living, I am new to this and claim to be no expert. I’ve learned over time your body knows what it wants, you just need to listen to it!
A basic tour of the blog: the ‘RECIPES’ tab contains all of the recipes I’ve posted on the blog. You can save your favourite recipes to the ‘COOKBOOK’ tab, and are easily able to pull up the recipes when needed. The ‘CREATE’ tab will be the home of all the DIY home projects, from homemade beauty products to cleaning products to furniture. This will also be the tab I post progress on my paintings and learning my acoustic guitar, and just about whatever other artsy things I decide to do. The ‘ADVENTURES’ tab documents my travelling experiences, as I hope to do a lot of this in the future. The ‘YOGA’ tab documents my progress in yoga and will follow my journey to becoming a certified Bikram Yoga Teacher. Lastly, if anyone needs to contact me in any way for any reason, this is what the ‘CONTACT’ tab is for.
Thanks to everyone who pushed me to get this blog started, it took a while for me to gather the courage to do this. Thanks Chris, my incredible boyfriend, for plunging into this lifestyle head-first with me and embracing it every step of the way. Thank you mom, dad and Aaron for your continual support and encouragement. Especially you momma bear – I know it hasn’t always been easy. Finally, thanks to all my friends (my vegan family!) for making me realize I am nowhere near alone in this fight for the animals.. I don’t know what I’d do without you!
I am excited for the future of this blog, and all the possibilities it can bring!
